Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Not as well made as before

Freezer door track is tight and not smooth as my prior Kitchenaid built-in refrigerator. Left side door opening makes squeaky noise and needs adjustment.

Beware of this product

Jet’s PaPa 5/19/2026

I have had this unit since December of 2019. There have over a dozen service calls to the authorized service dealer for KitchenAid, some some under warranty, but mostly after the warranty ran out. I have spoken to their customer service on many occasions. The best they can provide me with is the warranty is up. They offered a new fridge with a steep discount. I asked them if they had resolved the door hinge issues, the LED light issues, the ice maker issues, and worst of all the defrost drain line problems. The last leaves water on the wood floor next to the fridge. I have written the CEO of KA and still waiting on a response. I am extremely disappointed with this product, but worse is their lack of caring for their customers. Just my two cents on their $12,000 fridge.

The Third One Works Great

Camarillo Frank 3/21/2026

The 1st refrigerator delivered and installed, but the compressor was broken. After a tech from the Geek Squad officially broken, a second one was delivered. The second one was delivered and the driver/installer pointed out to us that the door was broken and told us not to accept it. A third refrigerator finally was delivered and installed. This one works perfect and looks great. The inspection process at the factory should be upgraded and improved before any product is delivered.

Nothing but problem with this fridge. For the price tag you would think it would last. I have been dealing with the ™€œover temp™€ beeping. Tech tried to fix it and worked for a week and then the beeping reappears. Disappointed in this model.

Do not purchase this brand

Ramir 1/7/2026

Purchased this $10,000 built-in KitchenAid refrigerator ™€" and it completely stopped cooling in under 3 years. This is supposed to be their ™€œtop of the line,™€ and honestly, it has been a nightmare. I trusted this brand, and it failed us in every possible way. I contacted KitchenAid, they sent their ™€œcertified™€ technicians, and they said the sealed system was shot ™€" basically telling us the fridge needed a heart and lung transplant. In other words, a full compressor replacement. After spending this kind of money, hearing that was unbelievable ™€" but we had no choice, so we agreed. They did the repair™€¦ and one month later the fridge died AGAIN. We called back, explained everything, and waited three weeks with NO refrigerator. The tech shows up and blames the sealed system again ™€" like they™€™re guessing and experimenting on our appliance. We called KitchenAid again and told them enough is enough. We have kids. We can™€™t keep throwing food away and living without a refrigerator while they ™€œtry things.™€ We demanded a full replacement. After arguing on the phone, they said they would ™€œsubmit the request™€ and get back to us. Days later ™€" nothing. No call. No follow-up. No urgency. For anyone thinking of buying a ™€œhigh-end™€ KitchenAid built-in: learn from this mess. Spend your money somewhere else, because this has been one of the worst and most frustrating purchases we™€™ve ever made.

Great replacement of builder™€™s monogram

vsfan1984 12/4/2025

The French door design is a rare find in built-in fridge. Plus the fact there is no water dispenser which helps my kid avoid the water spill all together. The freezer now holds a lot bigger item than side by side, which has been the key reason why we picked this model.

Stay far away from the company and this fridge

John’sd 11/27/2025

This fridge is trash. It™€™s been replaced for us, 3 times for major cooling and compressor issues. I™€™ve been without a fridge like 6 months throughout the replacements. The company that built is worse than the fridge itself. Poor customer service painfully poor product. It also continues to fail. Lights. Door hinges. Wiring. Could go on. Spend the extra money on a Miele or SubZero. I wish I had. If I could rank both the company and the fridge a -10 star ™€¦. I would.

Defective unit received, unreasonable options

JLB2025 11/18/2025

Refrigerator delivery on time and on schedule. However, the unit was defective and had smoke/sparking noise coming from the unit on day 1. Thankfully we were home to prevent a bigger catastrophe. Case number was created and determine by their safety team that the unit should be unplugged immediately and replaced, but will not receive a replacement unit for "4-6 weeks". Zero empathy on our situation as we told them we would be without a refrigerator for Thanksgiving and possibly Christmas. Response was "just keep checking back". I am sure the response to this review will be, please contact us through facebook/etc and give us your case number, but I assure you that won't help. I contacted them many times already and this is my current situation has not changed.

Refrigerator keeps everything ice cold, makes plenty of ice. Do not like French doors-at all! You need to open each door to access lower meat/cheese drawers. Our left door squeaks terribly when opening or closing! We™€™ve already called our sales/warranty company and our $10k fridge is three weeks old!

Good replacement unit!

KevinRJ 10/9/2025

There are very few options for 42" built in refrigerators. We had an old KitchenAid side by side before and hated it. This model, with the freezer on the bottom, is much more convenient. It feel much bigger. At this price range I would have expected a water dispenser, but that was not a deal breaker. The ice maker works well! The only complaint is that the doors self close very hard if you do not open them past 90 degrees. I hope this one lasts! Time will tell....

You don't need this stress in your life!

marleyb 9/4/2025

If you™€™re left-handed, have kids, or just enjoy the basic human privilege of opening the fridge door closest to the thing you want, this fridge will ruin your life. Apparently, KitchenAid expects you to approach your refrigerator like it™€™s a sacred ritual: right door first, then left, and when closing, left first, then right. Forget the order and congratulations, you have just signed yourself up for a torn gasket, a broken seal, and the privilege of spending thousands of dollars on new doors. Yes, you read that correctly. A gasket tear means new doors. Because in KitchenAid land, design flaws magically transform into ™€œuser error.™€ Imagine telling your kids not only to put the milk back, but to follow the holy sequence of door etiquette or risk thousands in damages. What parent doesn™€™t want to micromanage fridge door choreography on top of everything else? And if you are left-handed? Too bad. This fridge is basically an expensive middle finger to anyone who dares favor their left side. In short: unless you are eager to train your family in refrigerator door rituals or you have money to burn on repairs, do yourself a favor and avoid this overpriced stainless steel nightmare. I have attached a photo so you can see what we are doing to prevent food borne illness, since the refrigerator can no longer maintain a reliable seal.

Deceptive Warranty Practices by KitchenAid

fbella 8/15/2025

I've owned a KitchenAide 48" built-in for 10 years. It came witha 12 year sealed refigeration system warranty. In year 10 - the evaporator coil developed a leak that was directly attributable to faulty placement of the defrost heater elements - which in time burnt a holr in the coil. When the system failed, the desinated repair facility assigned could not get to us for 5 days. We found an alternative repair agency who replaced the coild and compressor the next day. Since we did not order the replacement parts through the warranty process - which would have taken weeks without a refirgerator - KitchenAide refused to cover the defective parts under warranty. I will never buy another KitchenAide product as the warranties are not worth the paper they are written on.

Tristan OConnell 7/27/2025

Purchased the refrigerator - it was unpacked and put in place. About a week into using it, the screw holding the spring for the right door must have come out and left the right door swinging free, not closing all the way and the lights don't work. Waiting for the repair.

Terrible customer service and unreliable product

Unhappy KAC Customer 7/11/2025

We purchased this high-end KitchenAid refrigerator in late 2018 with the expectation that a nearly $13,000 investment would provide long-term reliability and performance. Initially, the appliance functioned relatively well. However, beginning in 2023, we started experiencing significant issues. The insulation became dislodged and clogged internal tubing, leading to a leak. While this was eventually repaired, it marked the beginning of a troubling pattern. In July 2025, the refrigerator stopped working entirely for a day and displayed an ™€œover temp™€ error. Compounding the issue, 4 out of the 6 internal lights also failed™€"an unexpected and unacceptable problem for a premium appliance. When we reached out to KitchenAid customer service, we were told we would be responsible for all labor and parts for any further repairs. Even more concerning, the replacement cost for the light components alone exceeded $400. After an hour-long discussion with customer support, during which we emphasized the reasonable expectation of product reliability at this price point, KitchenAid eventually agreed to offer a 50% discount on parts. However, the experience was deeply frustrating. The only method of escalation provided was to mail a physical letter to their administrative office™€"an outdated and ineffective means of addressing serious customer concerns. This has been, without question, the most disappointing customer service experience we have ever encountered. For those considering KitchenAid, we strongly advise caution. If you're unwilling to continue spending thousands of dollars on maintenance and repairs after making a substantial initial investment, look elsewhere. A premium price should come with premium quality and support™€"sadly, that has not been our experience.

J185 7/10/2025

We bought this a month ago. It's not as deep as we recalled in the showroom. For the outside size and overall cost, we were hoping to put more food in here. The drawers feel low quality, easily come off rails. But over all it looks great asthetically, makes good ice and the freezer space is solid.

Kitchenaid refrigerator: NEVER AGAIN

Valcelli 7/7/2025

After 1.5 years and a price of almost $10,000, the refrigerator needed repairs and replacements totaling almost $1,000. The appliance company through which I bought the refrigerator contacted Kitchenaid to request that I be compensated for the expense. Kitchenaid would do nothing. 1.5 years after the replacements, the expensive led lights have again failed.

ahtjm505 6/29/2025

Bought this when we built our house in January 2022. The first one was delivered and never cooled. Waited 3 months for a new one, which is currently the one in my home now. It has been NOTHING but issues. We've had it 3 years and it's now out of warranty and literally the biggest mistake we made! The lights go out every 3-6 months and we use the repair company through that Kitchenaid refers us to every single time. Now the freezer isn't cooling. It makes ice whenever it decides to which isn't very often. It is very frustrating.

Ridiculous, No replacement parts

MarkD1 6/6/2025

Unfortunately I highly recommend NOT buying this model. We purchased ours in 2019. Recently the rubber gasket on the doors cracked and the doors don™€™t seal. I called for a replacement part and was told the only way to get the rubber gasket was to PURCHASE two new complete doors!!! The cost was approximately $2000. Absolutely unacceptable when these rubber gaskets should be $300. It™€™s like replacing a car because you can buy the wheels separately. Very disappointed with the customer service and they were completely not willing to help. If a new fridge has the same gaskets, why are they not offered as a replacement part. The only option is to buy two massive doors? Terrible. The LED lights burnout annually as well. After the first 6 months I don™€™t think I™€™ve ever been able to keep up replacing these without one being burnout. You used to be able to purchase a single light, but now you have to buy a set. LEDs should last more than 6-12 months. There is much better product on the market for this price. We are considering Miele or Subzero. Save yourself the pain and frustration and keep looking.

HORRIBLE!!! Not flush with cabinets at all!!!!!!

SavS 5/27/2025

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! This refrigerator is false advertisement. It says it is built in and panel ready but what they do not tell you is the hinges on the door are made to stick out so you will have a panel ready fridge sticking WAY out from your cabinets. I can't believe kitchen aid will even sell a refrigerator like this. It makes my kitchen look so bad and I will never buy a kitchen aid product again. I have called and was told basically that I'm stuck with it now. Horrible customer service.

this fridge is nice enough, but you can NOT open the drawers on the right side of the fridge when you open the right side door.........to get into those right side drawers you have to open BOTH doors! also the lights inside are VERY bright........ Had I had a chance to look at this fridge before buying it, I would annot have purchased it. oh, by the way, this was a replacement for the exact same brand and style fridge. The old one was much better. the right side drawers could be accessed when opening the right side door.... easy peasy. I do like the new door handles. They are smaller and it's easier not to smudge the doors !

Defective Model, Do Not Buy

Ann159 5/2/2025

DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR. We have had no fewer than 7 service appointments in the last year and it is still not working properly. Of course the problems began after the 1-year warranty expired. The temperature drops (which you only know because your food spoils, the settings show only the temperature the fridge is supposed to be, not what it actually is). And we've had condensation drip constantly on the top shelf, despite having the compressor replaced, the door hinges replaced, the insulation replaced, the door lining replaced, etc. The 7 service appointments have cost us over $2300 and it is STILL NOT WORKING properly. Beyond frustrating. The fridge is less than 3 years old. This model is a lemon.

Replace this faulty unit!

NOice 3/21/2025

I bought this fridge almost a year ago and the ice maker has never made a single ice cube. I have had the service company out five time (perhaps more) which means I have given up multiple days waiting for service people to show up (I have ZERO complaints with the service company / they are outstanding!) and they have replaced everything (and I do mean everything) on this fridge. When will kitchenaid replace this fridge? I will continue to ask the company to come out to repair the unrepairable which will cost Kitchenaid more and more. Replace this fridge please. I have replaced the ice maker - replaced the water supply line and filtration system - replaced the electronics - replaces the brains - everything. Please help

Beautiful Appliance

Bones101 3/20/2025

The fridge is beautiful. Its good, however, that about 15 years ago I was the resident engineer for the product built in Lavergne. The installers were nice enough, but I basically had to coach them and do the final tweaks of installation myself. They really don't know how to get it into the house, and had to call backup. It is a beast, but I think Kitchenaide has avoided a return or service call because I was there.lol. . Anyway, congrats on a very beautiful appliance, Workmanship appears a little better than I remember too. Fingers crossed on reliability . Last one lasted 18 years

Like Frig But Need Help With Produce Preserver

Ellen90 3/12/2025

I basically like the refrigerator. However, I received a produce preserver that was broken and I do not understand how to use it. Perhaps someone can reach out to provide a replacement and some help?

Expensive But Excellent Quality is worth it.

bjml 3/2/2025

We purchased this frig in mid 2024 After a long wait and failed attempt at first delivery ( they guys were not prepared for the weight and size , for some reason . Maybe Lowes did not inform them. ) Lowes made sure we were taken care of the next day with a great crew and set up was perfect!. After having this frig for 1 month now, I can say we are very happy with the quality of everything in the frig. Everything seems sturdy .We have had a side by side for over 20 years and decided to go with the French Doors style with two drawers on the bottom. There is alot of room in both the main body of the frig and the two freezer drawers. I like the top drawer for the more accessible packaged and prepared foods. The ice maker we had before was in the door of the side by side and it was always an issue because when the door was opened, warmer air also affected the ice in the door. I like the ice maker in the lower drawer. We do not have a water or ice dispenser in the door any more. We have a water filter at our kitchen sink. I look forward to at least 20 good years with this frig. I hope Kitchen Aid is still making quality products as its reputation preceeds it.

LED lights are worthless

Tommyp718 2/16/2025

My LED lights went a out in the first 6 months and they want $310 to replace. in the Manuel it says you will never have to replace the LED lights. This would be my second time. - stay away! It was not handled right right by the big boys.

Great storage and features.

NinaK10 2/5/2025

This was a replacement for a 20 year old version of the same refrigerator and we are. Expect g it to last just as long! Of course we wish it hadn™€™t cost as much. But the storage and features are great. The only complaint is that you have to open both doors to get the produce drawer open. That wasn™€™t true in our older version.

Great looking Fridge

Kemeri 2/3/2025

My new refrigerator was delivered and the two drawers for Vegetables were not in alignment because the housing was missing a rivet. This took two weeks to correct from the service company. The Right door, one week after having it delivered, started squeaking every time the door was opened. Fortunately when the repair man came to fix the drawers he was also able to fix the door as well. This was a very bad first impression after paying over $10000 for this product. Since the repairs have been completed everything has been fine.
