Lint filter compartment warning

Ive had my set a little less than a year. Cleaning the lint filter hand was caught between flap and top edge. Bruising may lose nail and possible nerve damage. Having it looked at since its been a few weeks and finger tip is numb/tingly.

Has a lot of functions most of which I havent used because its just too many options. Only getting 3 stars because Ive only owned it for 6 months and service already had to come out and replace the motherboard because it was sending incorrect signals to the dryer and completely freaking out non-operational. I think less is better when it comes to these large appliances.too many options leads to too many problems

What happened to Quality LG

Quality of this product has diminished over the years. I have purchased several models of this dryer over the years for different homes. The first thing I noticed is the steel gauge of the frame is much thinner. So much so that when you even put your hand on top of the dryer top it pops. Compared to other year models there is a big difference in the weight of the dryer? Which concerns me on what is being used in the internal parts. When I open the dryer door the light does not come on? I have to turn the power button on to get the light to come on. I have called on this and was told that this is how the dryer was made? Why would you make a dark dryer when you would have to turn it on when you are opening it up to retrieve your dried clothing? Now as far as all the settings yes they are the same and yes they are great The dryer works. It is not as quiet as the previous dryers. I am assuming because of the thin gauge metal and what ever short cuts taken to make it so light. One other thing that I failed to mention the diameter of the machine is smaller than the previous machines. This I liked it gave more room in my washroom There are pros and cons to this machine. My cons are that the light does not turn on when the door opens and the thin Frame used on the machine which makes the dryer louder and the door clang. My pros are that there are great settings on this dryer and it does do a great job.

I have had this dryer for a year a now and have regretted buying it every single day. Unless I dry everything on the timed dry setting on high the dryer DOES NOT dry because the sensor makes it stop. This is highly frustrating. We have cleaned our vents several times four times I think in one year to try to keep it from cutting off. Still cuts off. This sensor drying is THE WORST feature ever and creates a headache almost every time I do the laundry. The matching washer is fantastic though Love everything about it. I have never had so much trouble with a dryer in my life and Ive had cheap to moderately priced models. This is my first and will be my last LG. It also my first higher end model and I have neevr been more disappointed in an appliance. This model is too expensive to only be able to use the timed dry setting and none of the other settings. Therefore I do NOT recommend this model. Save your money.

Wrinkle release is wonderful normal cycle a waste

I got this dryer 6 weeks ago and find myself using the heavy duty cycle to get a normal load of laundry to dry without having to run it a couple of times. The wrinkle release is great shirts come out perfect without needing to iron.

Default programming doesnt dry a normal load

I bought this dryer a month ago it requires two cycles to dry a normal load. The default settings are preset and seem to they can only be changed for a single load. I now use the heavy duty setting for everyday use. Turbo steam is great for taking out wrinkles. Lots of features that I have not tried yet feeling that the level down dryer would work just as well at a much lower cost.

Worst Customer Service and Worst Dryer

This is the worst dryer I have ever owned It has stopped working and says it has an airflow issue. LG has refused to stand by their product saying it must be my vent even though I have had multiple people out to my house who have said the vent is not the problem. I am now having to pay repair people to try to find the problem even though the dryer is less than a year old. Worst customer service of any appliance company I have ever worked with. I will never buy an LG appliance again

D80 error code issue

We purchased this machine in July and had it installed in a brand new house. We continually get a D80 code. We have had the vent checked twice and it is 99 clear. So far the only option we have been given is to turn off that code but that seems dangerous.

My LG Dryer

We bought the LG dryer for its load capacity and so far after a months use I would say that this product is bangin. We installed a simple barn door for the utility room and you can barely hear the dryer running even when standing right outside the door. We are extremely pleased with the product .

We bought this 4 months ago and since then laundry has become less of a chore. It can handle large loads so we now run it fewer times in a month. Wifi makes it easier to get alerted when the laundry load is done and to switch it into the dryer. The melodious alerts are charming.

Moisture sensor a bad

This is second LG dryer weve purchased. Loved my original. Favorite feature was moisture sensor. Dryer would shut off as soon as clothes were dry. This new dryers moisture sensor does not work. Clothes still wet when dry cycle ends. Have to take off energy save to have clothes dry. Had LG repair come check. Said thats how its suppose to work. Told me to only dryer a load of same type of clothes. Save up 10 pairs of jean and put them in at same time. Makes no sense. 15 year old dryer was better than this one.

Like the product but a little more understanding

Bought this 6 months ago. It was damaged during shipping and left in a warehouse until the project was completed two months later. After installing the dryer it was noticed it was dinted on the side. LG shipper or original vendor it was purchased through would help. Fortunately I got a suction cup and stuck it to the side. As long as the suction cup stays on the inside drum doesnt bang against the outside drum. I like the dryer. I just wish there was a little more understanding in this situation. I ordered a washer and dryer in November 2022 and it didnt show up until April 2023.

LG Dryer

Purchased this dryer in January from NAS Jax on sale and what a deal. Works so well and is so silent. I think it was an excellent idea allowing the door to open in two positions. Also I am happy with the ability to operate it with my phone via wi-fi. What a deal.

DRYER WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I bought the washing machine and dryer in January they left in the new house the dryer broken until now nobody wants to take care of it . Spoke with Sears spoke with LG so many times and nobody wants to take care. I have now a broken brand new dryer and cannot do anything about it. First time and last time with LG also no recommendation for anybody.

Quit working after 5 months

Bought this in December- already broken. Started a small fire in the wires that connect the cord to inside of machine. Havent had a usable dryer for a month. LG is coming out May 22 to hopefully fix it.

It stoped working in 6 months
