I love my new dryer!!

We bought our dryer about two months ago and I love the steam sanitize feature. My husband works in construction and the fact we are in pandemic and I'm a bit OCD when it comes to my home and clothes being clean the steam sanitize feature really gives me peace of mind.

order dryer and took a while to receive, totally understandful due to covid19. but dryer came defective rubbing noise very loud noise. contact customer service and try to offer to repair, how can a new dryer already need to be repair. so i requested a replacement and was told it will be deliver november 18. november 18 comes, no call or update from samsung. had to call them and had no eta. now a month later i get an update saying its going to be deliver december 8. now i'm stuck without a dryer unacceptable. this dryer should have been 50% off due to the headache and inconvenience it has caused.

Unable to control via the SmartThings app

i bought this dryer assuming i'd be able to control it via the smartthings app just like the washer: unfortunately, for some unknown reason, samsung decided to remove that feature from the gas dryers and the app is only good to "monitor" the cycle. what's so smart anout that? in regards to the washer, although it can be controlled via de app, it can only be done if someone "manually" turns on the washer and presses the "smart control" buttom, really? i have an older parent who gets comfused with all the serrings, if i had the ability to control it remotely, i would be able to simply instruct my parent to load the washer and i would then control it. samsung should give users the ability to turn on/off the machine and controlled from the app.

controls are no kidding on point. the dryer connects via wifi and is easily controlled by samsung's smartthings app. notifications of the cycle completion appear on our phones. smartthing is the best contribution from samsung.

Already had a few repairs

Dryer is "okay." we already had a few repairs on them including the feet securing the dryer to the pedistal and the spring to the lint trap broke. I also noticed the moisture settings don't work too well and we are always forced to use the timed feature instead.
